The best 30 leaf cushions from CAP 12.2, which is an exceptional example of one of the most spectacular of all Coal Measures Plants. A large specimen showing 50 of the characteristic, large, highly-elevated leaf-cushions in very strong relief. The cushions are typically 15 mm long and 20 mm broad and show the fine mesh like granulations on the lower surface, with the marked flattened area; and the rhomboidal leaf scars on the top of the cushion with the foliar cicatricules clearly visible. A small Pecopteris frond is also present. From Radstock, Avon.
