Equus caballus is a species usually associated with typical cold-adapted faunas, but also with woody temperate zones. It has been found across Europe in Pleistocene deposits 150 thousand years old. The species in the wild state became extinct around 400 years ago but exist in domesticated & feral form in Europe. Complements TM 99.0, by bringing the evolutionary sequence into recent times.
