A superb, isolated, typical ventral valve showing both pairs of anterior and posterior adductor muscle scars and the highly-charachteristic granular external ornament. In life the complete lower surface was attached to a cylindrical object (possibly a sponge) from which it has taken its shape and pustulate appearance. From Kingsgate cliff, Kent.
