A very fine complete, isolated solitary pyramidal coral, with a square cross section, showing the deep calice, with the septa in good relief. The remainder of the corallum has strong horizontal growth lines and the proximal end shows several radiciform processes or rootlets that would have fixed the coral in life. It differs from G. pyramidalis in its more slender, elongate form. From Dudley, West Midlands, UK.
