This is the best half of the superb and complete, large, adult internal mould. It is beautifully preserved on this side. A highly evolute form with typical crioceratid coiling showing the last half of the whorl (which is body chamber) not in touch with the phragmocone. Though the sutures are not particularly clear, the phragmocone, last sutures and body chamber can clearly be distinguished. Towards the end of the phragmocone, large costae gradually appear on the flank, and on the body chamber. 7 of the 8 costae become enormously elevated, thin and sharp, smoothed out over the venter and separated by wide concave areas. This half-cast is hollowed out and available with a wall-mounting hook if requested. From the Isle of Wight.
